We have been so busy I just haven't felt like updating the blog, and not only that ~the stuff I am doing, I am forgetting to take pictures of! Like painting~ I have a sickness when it comes to painting~ I love it. Not on a canvas or anything like that, but walls. I love redecorating a room with paint.

So far I have painted the computer room, laundry area, and my closet. Yeah, I know~ who paints a closet? Well, obviously me. It is a small space but has a window and the blah walls were well, blah. Oh wait~ camera phone, I did use that a bit, not that it takes the best pics, but whatever~ you're not here for my photography skills are you?

This is the closet space I was babbling about (Wouldn't a little chandelier type light look really fantastic in there?)


And here is the laundry area,we don't have an actual laundry room (making me very jealous of people that do, because for some strange reason, I love laundry rooms) we have a laundry "area" so I do with it what I can. Please excuse the OCD-ness of the products. Yes Colin, it does look like a store shelf!



They were both done in a color called Shortbread which was supposed to be a buttery yellow, but it came out a tad brighter. And that's okay, because they are small spaces and the color makes me happy.

BTW, did you know as of today there are 15 days left until the kids go back to school?! Yes that's it~ 15. If only you could see the smile on my face as I type that :)

We also made snow~ in July~ How COOL (no pun intended) is that?! My cousin sent the kids a 'snow kit' which is just some powdered stuff you add water too, and VIOLA! Snow~ very cool and killed some time one afternoon (15 days until school starts!):



We made lava (vegetable oil, water, salt), of the lava lamp variety, and of course my kids wouldn't hear of red lava- it had to be blue (15 days until school starts!):


Rob and I continued on our yard makeover and took this overgrown with weeds area we happen to share with slacker neighbors and made it over, I don't have a before picture (camera slacker, remember?) but I did take an after. We also added a birdbath, not because I like the birds (I prefer them on my plate thank you very much), but because I liked the birdbath. Go figure.


And did you know? There are only 15 more days until school starts?!
