Big Bertha and plus sizes

Have you met Big Bertha?

Big Bertha is our 6th family member (after of course the 4 of us and Caydie). She likes to be kept clean (inside and out). She sucks up gas like it's going out of style so it's just like another mouth to feed. She has "issues" and must go to the dealership to get repaired (just like taking a kid to the doctor!).

Big Bertha is quickly becoming the bane of my existence (and you all thought Caydie had that title!). Most recently it's something with the transmission, but whatever, if I talk about it and her I'll cry so I'll just tell you what made me happy~ On Big Bertha's last trip to her 'doctor' (for her transmission) we were told she'd have to stay overnight (hospital visit!) and they gave us a loaner. A Honda Accord. Now look back up at Big Bertha and picture if you will- HALF of her. That's what we were put into. Fine. I learned how to drive in my Parent's Honda Accord. I have nothing against them (even if the dealership Armour-alled the leather seats so much I was sliding all over the front passenger seat, making Rob crack up every time he took a hard turn or hit the brakes).

Yesterday the hospital, sorry Dealership, called and told us we could come pick up Big Bertha b/c the parts for her had to be ordered from GM (oooh~ a transplant!) and it could take a few days, but she is drivable so come get her.
On the way back out to no-mans land South Carolina we got behind a Honda Pilot (an SUV) and Colin pipes up from the backseat of the Accord:

"That's a Honda! I guess they come in plus sizes too!"

He makes me laugh.

Big Bertha- and her very plus size frame is parked back in our driveway, anxiously awaiting the call from the dealership to tell us when to bring her back. In the meantime, for all my complaining~ I'm happy to have her home.

I did :( It just wasn't big enough so we traded it for Big Bertha last November (I think).
