To know me is to love me...anyway

I'm a planner. I live by a schedule. I function best with one. So imagine a week when NOTHING goes as planned. Welcome to last week.

Actually it started 2 weeks ago. Rob and I broke the bed. Yeah, ha ha, wink, wink, nudge, nudge, whatever. It was only discovered that the frame was broke when I asked Rob to tighten it. So for 2 weeks I, a notoriously rough sleeper, have been trying diligently not to move too much for fear of crashing to the floor at 2 AM. We just picked up the new frame today but me being me, want to wait to put it up until we can paint the wall behind the headboard. Why move it twice? What's another week of light sleep?

Just over a week ago Caydance decided to have explosive diarrhea all over the playroom. Sorry for the visual, but hey, I had to clean it up, so you must suffer too. After 1 hour of scrubbing and only vomiting twice (me, not the dog), I get a hold of the vet who says to bring her right in. $200 later I am told the dog has colitis. I'm not kidding. 2 days on meds and she was back to eating socks.

Last Tuesday~ 1 week to the day of school starting Kelsey gets sick. Sounded like she was going to cough up a lung. I took her the Drs. H1N1 has everyone is a tizzy...I don't think I've ever used the word "tizzy" before. Interesting. ANYWHO...Kels had a virus and sinusitis. Here's some meds to make her incredibly hyper during the day and just give her some NyQuil at night to knock her out. (Hope she does better on it than her Daddy!)

2 days later I go into the garage to get something out of the freezer. All is well. Not 2 minutes later I hear what sounds like rain pouring down. I go back in to close the back door, not thinking much of it until I see water...POURING OUT OF THE WALL. Seriously...OUT OF THE WALL! I yell for Rob "There's water coming out of the wall!" He went out to the street and turned off the water main. I don't know think I ever blogged about it before but 2 years ago we had a problem with our water, basically the line froze up and we couldn't figure out why. Turns out the geniuses that lived here sometime prior wanted a water softener, and had it placed in the garage and had the water line re-ran through the side yard and around back. So it now comes in through the garage wall and takes off through there. Fine whatever. Not the best (or insulated) wall, but whatever~now we know. Oh did I mention the WATER line is directly under the ELECTRIC Panel? Yeah, sheer genius here! Anywho...after last years freeze, we never sealed that wall back up...good thing! Luckily my man of many hats hubby was able to fix it and dry the garage.

20 minutes later... Colin has a belly ache. He has had one almost everyday since school started. Coincidentally the same time the dog got sick. We leave for school, turn around come home so he can "go". He says he feels better and wants to go to school. Buzzer going off in moms head, but also thinking about the soaked garage, I ignore said Mom buzzer and let him go. 40 minutes after dropping kids off...ring ring..oh I know that phone number.
"Hello."
"Hi Mrs C. You're going to need to come get Colin. He has been in the bathroom twice and we've only been here 40 minutes. He is really upset too." Well I think if you had just pooped everything you've eaten in the last month you'd be upset too.

I go get said child and call Dr. Boy aren't we just the regulars this week?! No flu. again. Thank you. But also no idea what is wrong with Colin other than a stomach flu to give him a belly ache for this long. We'll need a stool sample. Pardon me? You take this stick and when he poops.... Um, yeah got it. But guess what folks? All the pooping? It was done and over with the minute we hit the Dr's office (I kid you not, he went as soon as we go to the office). He was constipated the rest of the weekend. No stool sample to be had. (Was someone smiling down on me?)
No nobody was smiling on me, in fact I think they were smirking.

Friday night I felt like I got hit with 2 tons of bricks. Saturday was worse and I slept for 16, yes sixteen, hours, Rob gave my the NyQuil bottle and told me to just chug it. I did. Thank Goodness for such an awesome hubby. Thank goodness for NyQuil! Sunday I felt a little better and fielded a phone call from my mom in which she told me I "Sounded like sh*t, no offense". None taken. Thanks for the love Mom.

Yesterday I finally started feeling back to myself...really did I have a choice? Someone has to make the lists! Well, lists got made and I'm checking them off. Kids are both back in school today and Rob is on call and loading himself up on (Lots of) vitamin C.

And Caydance.....she just ate the last coaster. She's back to normal too!

Glad things sound back to "normal" and everyone is on the road to recovery.
Glad Rob is loading up on the vit C. He's the only one who didn't get hit - be careful !
Love ya's ! !

HaHaHaHa. HA! You're funny. Don't you love when the week spins out of control like that? Good luck to Rob!

Today Cooper ate a Magic Marker. We'll see how magic it is upon exit. And you may recall the Cooper Ate A Chicken Carcas Incident -- well, I'm feeling your Caydance-colitis-pain because there are few things worse than widespread dog diarrhea. I believe these two dogs are related.

LOL, I used to laugh at Pooper* incidents...hard. I still laugh, don't get me wrong, but in the back of my mind I now think, "Will Karma come get me now? And how well is that chicken buried in the trash?" Also too that perhaps I should just wait a few days before rushing the dog to the vet mentally saying my good byes.

*Laughing to myself over Cooper incidents now and had to delete my 2 previous post b/c the spelling was so BAD.
