Conversations with Kelsey

Kelsey makes me laugh. She doesn't always mean to, but the kid really does make me laugh. Currently Kels is obsessed with her changing body. She cannot seem to gather and absorb enough information on becoming a "woman". Thank you American Girl book. Last week we were standing in my bathroom and Kels turns to me and this is the conversation that followed:

Kels: "Yanno, I don't know why some people call it a 'public area'. I'm not showing mine to anyone!" It took all of my restraint not to burst out laughing. (And tell her darn skippy she's not!)

Mom: "Um, Kels, I think you're referring to a 'pubic area' "

Kels: "Oh.....Well THAT makes a lot more sense!"

When she gets older she is going to ream me for telling y'all that one!



But today she said something that made me think...We were walking to the mailbox and she turned to me and said, "I had a thought. "What if life is just a dream that you never wake up from? And if it is, whose dream is it?"
