Easy Life

I have gotten a few "How is the dog doing?" questions over the past few days, and after reading about Coopers* most recent escapades I thought I'd update about Caydie (and probably jinx myself). But the dog is good. She has easy life. She has 4 humans at her beck and bark (Mostly b/c if we don't respond to her bark or paw scrape on the door we're terrified of another bout of intestinal explosions).
As the kids (the human ones) are growing up they are outgrowing things. For instance~ Kelsey has outgrown her CareBears couch. The dog has procured it. It took her about 2.4 seconds to find a comfortable spot on it and this is how she spends her evenings:

and this is what she looks like after the camera flash has gone off 3 times in order for me to get just the right picture:

She is off her medicine for her colitis and watching her girlish 70 pound figure with Puppy Chow, but what an adventure the meds were...this is how she took them every night (Please excuse Robs less than enthusiastic demeanor, he just had his wisdom teeth out the day before and was still swollen and sore (hence the removal of the goatee too, which I am happy to report- is back)):

At first it started as a sneak attack~ I came at her from the front with her medicine (Liquid that I had to shoot into her mouth) and Rob snuck up behind her to keep her from running and hold her head still. It was quite comical, but by night 3 she just sat there looking at us like "Well, I'm here what are you waiting for" And Rob was rewarded with a doggy kiss each time (after all, I was the one making her take her medicine, what did he do wrong?).

So yeah, Caydie is officially part of the family and in it for the long haul, and luckily, still very cute :)

*Cooper is Deb's dog. Deb can be found to the right in my blog stalking list and she is one of the most hysterically funny people I have yet to meet in person, but still consider a friend.

Aww, Shell. That was sweet.

I had to laugh at Caydance on the CareBare sofa, because I note it is in "bed" position. I can just imagine her opening the sofa to a bed, and when she did, finding under the cushon her beloved stash of mangled socks, coasters, PostIts and rhinestones. If only she had a banana...

And I meant every word ;)

Also too, that image gave me a good chuckle (And now Kelsey is walking around saying "If only she had a banana. That's funny." :) We have to keep in the 'bed' position b/c when we do put it into couch, she still tries to lay on it but doesn't get that she is not a little puppy (and her whole bottom half hangs off the edge) But she will still try...and try...and try...
