School Days...School Days...

18 more days! That's right.. EIGHTEEN days until the munchkins go back to school and start terrorizing their teachers and stop terrorizing me...Okay maybe terrorizing is too strong a word...tormenting. Is that better? But the funny thing...I know what they're like at home (obviously) and they are NOTHING of the sort in school! I kid you not...I once had a conversation with Kelsey's 2nd grade teacher that went something like this

Me: Kelsey blah, blah, blah, talks back, blah blah, doesn't listen, blah blah, no I mean REALLY talks back, blah blah
Teacher: you're kidding! Kelsey? I wish I had 20 more of her, she's perfect
Me: too stunned to answer


I remember the weeks leading up to Kelsey's 1st day of Kindergarten (Cut to this picture in my head)



I was SO Sad, I didn't want her to go...I knew she was ready but the Mommy in me wasn't ready to let her go...and Colin...well, he is my baby...I cried. Not as hard as my mom...but cried none-the-less (And just to be fair, here is his 1st day of Kindergarten image)



Funny that just a short year ago I was crying over the kids going to school...and now...well I'm marking down the days on the calendar ~kind of like the kids counting down for Christmas.

By the way...did I mention? 18 MORE DAYS!!!
