yes, I am blogging about a kitchen sink

It is either a really slow day here in Charlotte, or I am genuinely excited about the kitchen sink.

Well...it's a little of both. It is a slow day here right now. AND I am genuinely excited about the kitchen sink!

This second thought made me stop and think. Who would have thought the day would come that I would get excited over a kitchen sink? Certainly not me! But alas- here is it. The day has arrived...I am a grown up.

So...join me in my excitement...or humor me. I say toh-mah-toh, you say toh-may-toh.

Since deciding to take the house off the market, Rob and I decided (okay,I decided~ poor Rob is pretty much just holding on for the ride and doing all the labor!) to make some changes to the house. I want to gut and re-do the whole kitchen but since that is no where near in our budget; we are making affordable (there's that grown-up speak again!) changes here and there. We decided to start with the kitchen sink. Thanks to Christy we found an AWESOME deal on a sink (and not just a sink- a sink KIT- basin, faucet, sprayer, and drain kit) @ Lowes- Lowe's on-line (not in the store)

I say not in the store because apparently you can go and buy it at the store too, but for the low price of $238.00 not the $109 on-line price. We had to order it on-line and then go to the store to pick it up (same one off the shelf) to get it at that price. Not just go and buy it. FINE.

So yesterday Rob proceeds to take out the old kitchen sink:



and after much ado (2 trips to Lowe's, 1 cut counter top, 1 garbage disposal refusing to line up, 1 sink drain off center)...put in the new:



C'mon...you know deep inside you're a grown up too and are sharing in my excitement of the kitchen sink...Anyone? Anyone?
