It's a Girl!

Let me set the scene for you:

New Years Eve 2008: My parents house

Kelsey :Mommy can we PLEASE get a dog (Note how I am called "Mommy" again when she wants something?)
Mommy:No
Kelsey: Why not, please, I'll take care of it.
Mommy: No
Kelsey: Mom (See?) Please.
Mom: Who is going to feed it?
Kelsey: I will, and I'll play with it, and even clean up the poop.
Mom: Kels, what will we do with it when we travel here
My Mom (from the other room): Bring it here
(seriously? you too? )
Mom : What do we keep it in while we go out- I go out every day to bring you guys to and from school, I am not letting the dog have the run of the house for that long each day
My Dad: Use our extra Crate we left at your house for Molly
(What the heck? Was this all planned?!)

I swear it was a conspiracy! Rob promptly got on line to Pet Finder.com (et tu Brute?!) and let Kelsey search for a puppy...Beagle specifically. She had her heart set. She fell in love with "Caydance " as soon as she set her eyes on her.

Today we picked up our newest addition to the family...allow me to introduce you to Caydance a Beagle/Hound mix who was found in the woods as a baby with her Mommy and brothers and sisters and rescued by Richardson Pet Rescue of SC. They guesstimate she is about 2 months old and weighs about 7 lbs.

But damn is that Caydance a sweetheart! I can see how you couldn't resist those brown eyes...so adorable.

By the way, I absolutely low the "bow wooo wooo wooo" of a beagle. It's so cute!

Enjoy!

I totally agree with Susie and Dar--SUCKER!!! However, Caydance is ADORABLE!!! Last night I would have given you our dog and a year's worth of food, vet payments, and grooming payments--not a good night.

Tell Kelsey CONGRATULATIONS!!

Love,
Julie
