On Christmas Eve I love it, It is perfect. But any other day of the year...no I am just not a fan.I don't like being cold, I don't like frozen fingers and I don't like people that don't know how to drive in it.
We have been here 5 years (as of this spring- can you believe it?!) In that time we have gotten, and I am not kidding maybe 4 inches of snow. I have really enjoyed it. Monday night the forecast was :snow. The kids went out of their minds nuts- Wishing, praying, hoping, pajama-inside-out-wearing out of their ever lovin minds-nuts. I'll own it- I got caught up in the moment...I stayed awake til 12:30 and kept peeking outside. Nothing. Around 4:30 I woke up to SNOW! Yay! I almost woke the kids up I was so excited. But I didn't, I went back to my nice warm bed and remained there for another 3.5 hours. If you didn't know this already- NC cancels school if we get more than 1..5 inches b/c we are just not prepared for it (Charlotte just bought their 1st snowplows 3 years ago). I remember back in Jersey I don't think we canceled school unless all the busses got stuck in it.
We got maybe 1-1 1/2 inches...That was enough for the kids! 8:10 AM- there were my kids bundled up in all their glory running around in the backyard, loving every second of the snow. The puppy? Yeah, next snowfall Caydance and I are headed to the tropics- She isn't a fan of snow either!

awww, glad they enjoyed it! They are welcome to Lakewood anytime if they want to see A lot of snow because this year we have it!!! PS Chip isnt a big snow fan either lol!

Ours wasn't even worth taking pictures of...it just looked like someone sprinkled powdered sugar over the lawn and they missed ALOT of spots! Actually I should have taken pictures...but it was more green lawn than anything else!
Glad your kids had fun!! Beth and Matt made due with the little bit that we got! They scraped enough of it up to maybe make 2 or 3 snowballs...that's about all we got out of our WHOLE backyard!
And...I can offically say that NC cancels school for even less than an inch of snow!! Like I said...our area got NOTHING but a sprinkle and they cancelled!
Sigh. Can I have your snow? We've had nothing but promises and major disappointments for the past several years. Send me a 2-footer!
I have 2 feet standing in my yard, I'd be happy to send it to your kids! I've had it with the cold and the snow this year! Last week our HIGH temp was -24. Wanna switch? LOL!!
