Everyone is good, we're fighting off virus's left and right (of the a-choo variety, not the computer crash kind [knocking on wood now] ). Rob and I had a mild flu, which I am pretty sure my Dad thinks is a direct result of my refusing to get the flu shot after he asked me about getting one not a month before.
Col just got over a stomach bug, and Kels is home today with a sore throat (but it's not strep~ She went to the Dr yesterday).
While we're talking health stuff~ Caydie is going to become a regular at the vet's office. She had another seizure. And another. And another. All right in a row. Luckily Rob and I were home to see it happen and get her to the vet right away. On the bright side she doesn't have any brain damage (how do they explain her love for chewing all things paper and wood then?!). She had had 1 or 2 very mild seizures in the beginning of the summer but she had been licking her paws like crazy and we put sulfodene on them for the hot spots- BAD MOVE. After researching it further (note to self: research FIRST in the future) it seems one of the main ingredients in it can cause neuro issues if ingested. We stopped using it and the seizures stopped. Until 2 weeks ago. Luckily she is young and we just have to track when she has them (if they happen again) and they can check her for epilepsy. Right now we're choosing to keep an eye on her b/c the vet kept her for observation and it didn't happen again, so I am not moving forth with the double amputation to be able to pay for all this testing. We were luckily the vet accepted an arm as payment for this last round of testing.
We are gearing up for Thanksgiving and Christmas, which I just put into 1 category b/c really~Thanksgiving is about the food and the next day is about the shopping. Christmas season officially begins November 25 for Mom and I. Yes, we are 2 of the nut jobs out there on Black Friday- well, she's a little nuttier than I am. See I hate crowds, I mean really, really hate crowds, to the point of hives and panic attacks. So the night before when everyone is still stuffed from all the yummies; Mom and I plan our attack. Where we will go, what we need , (YAY~ we get to make lists!) and when we will go there. The next morning I get her up crazy early (or maybe by 8 if the sales suck as they sometimes do) and we go. I stand at the end of the aisle and Mom goes in and does my recon. She gets in there, gets what it was we needed and makes a break back for the end of the aisle. Where I am calmly waiting.Well calmly unless you get too close~ don't get too close.
Let's see, Anything else I can update you on while you're here? OH..I made a few more notebooks. Some for gifts and some for sale. I branched out from just Household Notebooks and tried my hand at a recipe book (which came out fantabulous, if I may say so myself :o)) and a card keeper, which is going to come in very handy for the recipient who always forgets birthdays (or the one who is so organized she buys her cards months in advance but sometimes forgets where she puts them...you know who you are!) Here's a peek at some:
And that is pretty much it. If you made it this far, have a safe & blessed Thanksgiving and I'll see you next month!
