Happy Memorial Day. The kids had school today (It was a snow makeup day). On the way home from school we were talking about what they did in school today. Colin's class drew flags to commemorate Memorial Day and Kelsey's class talked about it and did some work sheets on it. So I asked "Well what is Memorial Day?" Kelsey's reply:
"Today is the day we worship Uncle Scott."
*For those of you who don't know, Uncle Scott is my brother, a Proud US Marine~ alive and well, very much loved and apparently "worshiped" by his niece (and nephew)

Hey Kelsey, I am with you--Uncle Scott does deserve a day to be worshipped. We truly appreciate his service, but are equally thankful for those who served and lost their lives. Happy Memorial Day!!
Sorry that Kelsey and Colin had to go to school. If there is any consolation to them, we have been stuck at home while Britt finishes up projects for school.
