My Baby Boy turns 7

My Baby boy is 7 today. Lucky number 7. Seven...SEVEN...Can you tell I'm wrapping my head around this?

Colin came into this world on March 12, 2002 and Not of his own accord. The joke was, Kelsey forgot to leave directions and Colin being a typical man wouldn't ask for directions. He had to be induced. I think he was just so comfy and cozy he just wanted to hang out a bit longer.

At 6 AM March 12, Rob and I drove to the hospital to get ready to meet our baby boy. At 7 :30 I started my pitocen drip and relaxed. At 10:30 I was grabbing a nurse by the collar and asking where my epidural was. The Doctor was in the hallway flagging down the nice man with his own cart~ The Anesthesiologist, not the janitor, but between you and me~ he could have been the darn janitor as long as he was going to numb me!

By 10:45 I was a happy girl again and Rob could relax a little. HA! Not so fast. Three pushes later, at 11:33 AM Colin came fast and furious into this world. So fast and furious in fact his 10 lbs 9 oz body broke his collarbone and my tailbone on his way out. No that's not a typo- 10 lbs 9 oz 23 inches long.

Colin Michael was here! And he was immediately referred to as my Baby Bird because his poor little arm was pinned to his chest to keep him from moving it. Much like a broken wing on a baby bird.

I am still shaking my head it was only 7 years ago. Some days it feels like forever ago, but most days it feels like yesterday.
